She helps women in mid life who feel like their bodies have betrayed them step back into their bodies by restoring optimal hormone levels so they can regain their sleep, figure, mood, and feel amazing once again. She’s known for keeping hormone replacement therapy sexy, safe, and effective!

She graduated as one of 12 Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) candidates from The University of Iowa College of Nursing in July 2011. Gray also holds a MSN and BSN from The University of Iowa College of Nursing. She has been practicing as a nurse practitioner since 2009. She became the only nurse practitioner and one of 2 individuals in Iowa to complete their Advanced Fellowship in Anti-Aging, Regenerative, and Functional Medicine in December 2013. She currently offers what she feels is the safest and most effective approach to hormone replacement, individualized natural hormone replacement therapy.

She completed Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum’s Fatigue and Fibromyalgia certification course as one of only two individuals in Iowa with this training and the only in the area. She is also the only individual in the state of Iowa who has completed Ben Lynch’s Methylation & Clinical Nutrigenomics Course. She also finished a Masters in Metabolic Nutritional Medicine graduating from the University of South Florida’s Medical School in December 2015.

Additionally, Gray’s capstone doctoral project identified and highlighted new emerging evidence indicating that estrogen metabolism impacts women’s risk for breast cancer. It is now possible for women to lower their risk of breast cancer by being tested for a ratio of estrogen metabolites (2:16 alpha hydroxyestrone ratio) and, if appropriate, to favorably impact it using a nutritional intervention, Diindolylmethane (DIM).

Dr. Stephanie Gray worked to increase health care provider’s awareness and utilization of this 2:16 ratio and DIM in an effort to promote breast health and reduce breast cancer risk. Her project served as an initial step for the future development of evidence-based practice guidelines as a primary preventative approach to breast health. Gray disseminated her project by speaking at state and national conferences including the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners 27th Annual conference in the summer 2012 where she presented her project. Her project manuscript was submitted for publication in early 2014.

She also became certified to provide IV nutrients (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants) in fall 2016 through International IV Nutritional Therapy for Professionals. She became  a certified Wahl’s Protocol® Health Professional in 2018.
